Personality Types and Compatibility in Relationships

Let’s face the fact: Truthfully, some people just click with us – like it’s a union from heaven while there are others who we can barely tolerate. The incompatible ones go with us like immiscible liquids; hence a relationship with such people will be a huge disaster. A few method analyzes compatibility in relationships and one of such is Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) personality test, which gives insight into personalities that click with us.

The MBTI classifies individuals into one of 16 unique personality types by assessing their specific combination of four division based on Jungian theory. The divisions are Extroversion (E) vs. Introversion (I), Thinking (T) vs. Feeling (F), Sensing (S) vs. Intuition (I) and Judging (J) vs. Perceiving (P). With the aforementioned, here are a few personality types that work well.

ESTP and ISTJ are a great combination. ISTJ are problem solvers and are very organized. ESTP are a huge balance to the ISTJ personality, as ESTP are big thinkers having person skills and energy required in making a team work and succeed. The combination of both personalities make plans and purpose run in full force either in business or romantic relationship.

INTJ and INTP union is a great delight. These unions are often abundant in many forms and associations. The INTP brings intellectual curiosity that births innovations while INTJ couples this innovation with strength for implementation. This union of these personalities are numerous in fields of engineering or architecture and are also found in romantic relationships.

INFJ and ENFP personalities bring a unique creativity. The ENFP individuals are outgoing and caring personalities. They are good communicators and thrive better in service oriented capacities. A collaboration of INFJ and ENFP is more than unique as INFJ are naturally sensitive to the feelings of others – they empathize easily; are capable of producing genuine relationships because they can read people as well as their intentions. In business and romantic relationships, desired results and goals are achieved better and faster.

Also, ISTP and ENTJ compatibility is worthy of mention. In business world, the ENTJ personalities are corporate geniuses because they are capable and strong with an acumen for planning. The ISTP personalities work better with the ENTJ because they are also analytical thinkers with strength to solve problems even in a structured pace or environment. A combination of both personalities will result in genuine, hyper-critical thoughts capable of providing timely solutions whether in business or romance.

The ESFP and ISFP personalities: The ISFP personalities are simply natural nurturers; they are sympathetic, loyal and dependable. ESFP on the other hand are lovers of people. A working union of both personalities is capable of creating buzz due to the resource both parties bring to the table. Interestingly, the union is often existing even in a business environment.

These personalities are many of the few types in business or romance and certainly, the aforementioned observations are not foolproof method but understanding one’s partner or team mate’s weakness and strength is important in achieving the best.
